An Estimated 20 Million Muslims Converge on the Iraqi City of Karbala for the Largest Anti-Terror Rally.

The marchers are said to come from over 60 countries, and most of them have marched all the way to Karbala from other Iraqi cities like Najaf and Baghdad in a show of devotion. Each year, Sunni Muslims and followers of other religious groups such as Christians join the journey to mourn the martyrdom of Imam Hussein.

Millions of black-clad Shia pilgrims are converging on the holy city of Karbala for the Arbaeen religious commemoration, the largest annual gathering of people anywhere on earth.

More and more Muslims from around the world are arriving in the holy city of Karbala in Iraq to pay homage to Imam Hussain on the occasion of Arba’een. The event marks forty days after the third Shia Imam’s martyrdom anniversary. Press TV’s correspondent Yusef Jalali reports from the outskirts of Karbala.
