This part-time Certificate of Higher Education (Cert HE) explores Middle Eastern societies, religions and cultures and the history of Islam. It enables students to develop or improve their Arabic language skills and progress to a range of degrees in the Arabic, Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies department at the University of Leeds. The course is taught Part-time one day a week.

The Cert HE provides the skills required to make a successful transition to studying at university. The LLC is the ideal starting point for anyone worried about whether they have the necessary skills to thrive in the world of higher education.

It enhances understanding of Islam and develops an array of skills ranging from networking to communication to independent learning.
