Over the past decade Universiti Brunei Darussalam has been on an exciting progressive journey of change, from what is fundamentally a teaching university to a first class international university of excellence in teaching and research.

Applications are invited to the post at UBD’s Graduate Centre of Islamic Studies (SOASCIS) in the area of Islam and Women Studies. The Centre is looking for candidates with a good track record in supervision of doctoral students and high quality publications in the mentioned area of study. The successful candidate is expected to provide academic leadership both in doctoral supervision and group research projects.

The applicant must have a least a Ph.D. in the relevant area with a good track record in research and scholarly activities. The applicant must also have previous experience in doctoral supervision.

While English Language is the main language of instruction, knowledge of and/or fluency in Arabic Language is expected. Knowledge of Malay Language is an advantage.
