Personal Transformation: Legacy of Al-Ghazali

Date: February 23, 2019 @ 9:00 - 18:30

Venue: London & Online

In recent years, there has been a keen interest in personal growth and transformation. Many are searching for paradigms and models which will help them become better versions of themselves — as human beings and as believers. Get ready for true change using Imam al-Ghazali’s very own methodology.

This unique course explores his life, inner struggle and paradigm for personal transformation. Primarily based on two key works of Al-Ghazali, his spiritual autobiography Munqidh min al-Dalal (Deliverance from Error) and Kimiya al-Sa'adah (Alchemy of Happiness), the course will explore Imam al-Ghazali's own path to self-discovery and personal transformation.

At one point in his life Al-Ghazali experienced a crisis of faith and identity. He then embarked on a 10 year journey of self-discovery. The course will highlight the seven steps which Al-Ghazali embarked on during this journey. Join us on Saturday 23rdFebruary to discuss the practical application of these transformative steps:

1.  Skepticism and doubt
2.  Ambition
3.  Self Discovery
4.  Hijra (migration)
5.  Spiritual khalwa (seclusion)
6.  Self-introspection, and
7.  Sincerity

Once described by Al-Juwayni as "an ocean of learning", discover Al-Ghazali’s own character through the steps he prescribes and explore your own inner depths along the way.
