Academic Director for College of Islam Studies

Ideal candidates will possess a good mix of expertise in research and academia. You will be a specialist in teaching Islamic courses and already be working at Associate professor or Senior lecturer level.

Civitas Recruitment are partnering with a fantastic college based in Cambridge (UK) which offer’s leading accredited qualifications and degrees in traditional Islamic subjects and courses aiming to develop Muslim thought leadership. The organization has been established for over a decade and collaborates effectively with the older University of Cambridge. As the College embarks on a period of growth, an opportunity exists for an Academic Director to join the team to direct and develop the College’s teaching staff, academic programs and research in support of the College’s strategic objectives. This involves the strategic and pro-active management of people, resources and infrastructure and the development and support of high academic standards according to HE benchmarks. The Academic Director plays a key role in ensuring cohesion to the college’s academic vision across all programs and outputs. This is a full time permanent role and to be based in the UK.
